To be honest I've been feelin' a little scared and alone
Though I'm traveling on a road that's full of hope and emotion
That's overflowing, creating an ocean to stay afloat
But I have yet to find a place that I know I can call my home
Always rowing, never knowing, so I've grown to be stone cold
It's crazy the way it goes, the story that's told never comes to a close
I suppose we're just writing it as we go
But truth be told, I'm frozen rock solid down to my bones
So I'm holding onto the notion that time heals a broken soul
But countless ticks and tocks have got me questioning God
And I know it's a terrible thought that's disappointing my mom
But I told you i would be honest, so here's my word and I'm on it

I lay awake at night sometimes and try to rhyme
To put together a line that could captivate your mind
And show what's been on mine for some time, I'd be lying
If I told you that everything inside of my mind is fine
Never been one to whine, but at night
Deep inside, feelings rise
I decline to a darker state of mind
I'm so tired of waiting and saying my prayers daily
Asking God to come and save me and cradle me like a baby
The devil is tryin'a change me, and gets his way lately
one step in the right direction and quickly I'm turned away
But there ain't no rest for my introspective reflection
It's got me double checking and second guessing my steps
I'm always stressing to perfect every impression I've left
On everybody that has stepped into my life and then left
But don't get me wrong, ain't no need to question my steps
I just put right in front of left and God'll handle the rest
See that's what happens when you follow what's inside of your chest
Your heart will guide you when you're blinded by your secular quest
So keep in mind that you can't hide from all the lies you confess
But be reminded that it's fine 'cause even sinners are blessed
